anyone fancy posting your lap times using the polyphony 001 car as this car cant be tuned i think this will give everyone a level playing ground

i have a time of 1 min 23.465 on grand valley race way.
is that fast or is it s**t let the tournament commence

This is possible I guess, as many cars have different colours.

I agree the colour may be different, but the bhp difference could be caused by usage of the car. The bhp increases after a little use, and also changing the oil makes a difference, so that could explain the bhp difference.

Its probably just paint difference.

Well, I did until they found out how I knew and stopped me. Maybe it's different for new threads?

Are you sure it was not just a coincidence the first time?

Theres also a rumor that if you hold the left stick the opposite way the car is on the screen you get the car. e.g. The car you want is at the top you press the left stick down. This worked the first time I tried it but it didnt work when I wanted to get the F1 car on the Super Speed Way endurance.

I heard a rumour that you could choose which car is picked by pressing one of L1, L2, R1 or R2. I've tried it though and it doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe it's a timing thing...

I did the Grand Valley endurance race which took almost 2 hours and won the race easily. Could see the four cars circling round and round and there tempting me was a f1 car!

Only trouble is, the computer gave me a road version of the car I'd just won the race with.....doh!!!

Not bad though 550,000 credits, suppose I'll just have to keep on trying.

I dont want to spoil this mini compo, but i have seen 2 001 cars, a blue and yellow one and a black one which has 20 bhp more. I dont know how many other variations of this car there are, does anyone else have a different one?
