. Do you remember the Pokemon mini? A cool little handheld device which eventually housed 10 exclusive Pokemon games including Pokemon tetris, Pokemon Party, Pokemon Puzzle Collection, Pokemon puzzle collection 2, Pokemon Pinball mini, Pokemon Zany Cards, A pokemon platform game, Pichu Brothers, Togepi's Great Adventure and Pokémon Sodateya Mini. Due to the games actually not being all that bad they are being repackaged with Pokemon Channel, that useless looking childrens Pokemon game for the Gamecube. So maybe worth buying after all.

. Nintendo plan to have released 9 entertainment devices in 4 years by 2006, these are the Gameboy Advance, the GBA SP, The Panasonic Q, The Nintendo Gamecube, The IQue, The Pokemon mini, the Nintendo DS, The N5 and the GBE.

. When people refer to close relationships between Nintendo and Japanese 3rd party developers most people think of Capcom. But in reality Nintendo's new friendship with one time enemy Namco is far more interesting. Namco released Nintendo's best Christmas title, Donkey Konga, developing further upgraded versions, released chart topping Gamecube shifting RPG, Tales of Symphonia, currently developing the upcoming Starfox 2, have even more exclusive titles planned, put Link in Soulcalibur 2 and even allowed Nintendo to develop one of THEIR franchises with Pacman Vs. An unprecidented event in itself.

. On the subject of Nintendo's new friend Namco, did you know Namco and Nintendo were working together to try and invited beat 'em up fans back to the Gamecube and implementing Link was the best it could come up with? You laugh at it now but despite having a far smaller fan base, less advertisement than the competitors for the game and having a controller not made with beat 'em ups in mind but the Gamecube outsold the nearest rival by 3,500 copies. The X-box sold 320,991 copes, the PS2 447,138, But the Gamecube shifted a massive 500,685. Nice.

. Lets stick with Namco for a while, Nintendo discussed the DS with this company way in advanced to the others and they plan to develop a game for the system ASAP, Konami's Hideo Kojima is also busying away with "too many ideas" for the system.

. 2004 will rock muchly for us Gamecube gamers and could well be a fantastic year for increasing Nintendo's fan base. Metroid Prime 2, Resident Evil 4, Tales of Symphonia, Starfox 2, Geist, Harvest Moon, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Pikmin 2, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Kirby's Air ride, Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution, Super Monkey Ball 3, Baten Kaitos and Pokemon Colleseium.

. Did you know Grabbed by the Gholies wasn't quickly developed for the X-box by Rare but was previously designed for the Gamecube, the title originally used the Luigi's Mansion game engine and similarties can still be spotted.

. In the US Resident Evil: Remake sold 445,176 copies, Resident Evil: 0 sold 346,271 copies, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis sold 41,395 and Resident Evil 2 (a game already released on the N64) 32, 449. Capcom are reported to be "dissapointed" and Code Veronica's sales are also lacking. Nevertheless the exclusivity of the series on the Gamecube all depends on Resident Evil 4, the only game out of all the other that has been built from the ground up on Gamecube hardware. With it being named the most anticipated title of the year amongst American websites and magazines the hype machine may really be working. It is also predicted to sell 1.8 million by UJF.

. E3 this year looks to trounce Nintendo's poor showing last year, new and final titles from Konami, Namco and Capcom, Nintendo's new allies in arms are set to appear. Geist will be shown as an improved build, Resident Evil 4 will be playable, as will the Zelda sequel... The DS will also appear but speculation is rife about whether Mario 128, GBE and N5 will appear... because if not then... when? Will Nintendo have to house Spaceworld for the first time in 2 years?

. Silicon Knights has expanded over the last 2 years and are developing 2 titles similtaneously as well as putting pre-production on another. Metal Gear Solid is of course one.

. Retro Studios is also expanding as Nintendo wish to improve their western appeal by increasing their first party american developer. Unlike Rare, Left Field and possibly in the future Silicon Knights, this studio is going no where.

. Despite their best efforts Nintendo continue to struggle in Europe despite "turning a corner" in America and the continued success in Japan.

. The IQue looks pretty cool, I want one.

. No matter what you say the Four Swords game for the Gamecube is damn good. After playing it at ECTS I can't wait to get my hands on the game especially as it is now packaged with 2 others... this and Pacman Vs. really give meaning to the GBA-GC connection.

. Linux is currently in production for the Gamecube.

. Serious Sam for the Gamecube? Hell yeah!

. Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg is about £20 in every shop you can possibly go in... after playing it today I understand why.

. Capcom are acting very odd about the cancellation of Dead Phoneix. When the game was announced the designer claimed it was almost finished, it then dissapeared and the game was said to be cancelled. Other Capcom employee's insist the game is still in development in some form.... rumours of a Kid Icarus game getting increasingly likely.

. Despite not being released in 2003 and selling a lucrative amount of titles at christmas 2002 (some record breaking sales of like a few million or so) Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire was still the second biggest selling games of 2003 just behind Final Fantasy.

. Link would have appeared in 7 Gamecube discs and 12 games: The Legend of Zelda, The legend of Zelda 2: The adventure of link, Ocarina of Time, Master Quest, Majora's Mask, Soulcalibur 2, Super Smash Brothers: Melee, The legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, The legend of Zelda: Four Swords, Shadow battle, Tetra's trackers AND a proper sequel to Wind Waker. Poor lad sure is in demand.

. Sales of the GBA SP, GBA and GB player are counted seperatly so the actual number of Gameboy Advance playing people in the world is very hard to work out.

. Nintendo's current status in the stock exchange has gone from "hold" to "buy" due to the continual success in America.

. Ubi Soft are currently developing online games for the Gamecube... previously SEGA were the only company to do this.

. Super Monkey Ball 3 will almost with a doubt contain LAN connectivity.

. Sales of sequels to N64 classics in the form of 1080 and F Zero was EXTREMLEY poor... games that enjoyed much success on Gamecube's father suffered terribly despite both being fantastic games. 1080 and F Zero are very adult appealing "cool" Nintendo games and it is a pity to see them lack advertisement.

. Donkey Konga is officially the damn right funkiest game to be released on the Gamecube ever.... Damn do I want those drums.

. Nintendo Official Magazine is now based in Peterborough.

. Nintendo plan to do another music tour, similar to the Evanescence tour they did in the summer.

. Mario was the mascot during the SNES era, Pikachu was the mascot during the N64 era and Link is the mascot during the Gamecube era. Just an observation.

. I'm Bored.

. Everyone by a hori pad, despite lacking 2 analogue sticks and the context senstive L and R buttons they are the most retro thing I've ever bought.

. Splinter Cell is FREE when you buy Prince of Persia in America, it is part of Ubi-Softs panic reaction to awful sales of such a damn fine game. In Europe POP is released at £30 with some sites already listing it as a mere £22.99... whilst Ubi-Softs other poor seller but excellent game is Beyond Good and Evil which is released at under £20... Ouch.

. My current Gamecube collection is 53 games and a collection of Gameboy games playable through the GB player and here I am posting a list of useless information on a discussion board.

. I haven't wrote a Notable Hunter story in a year and a half. I have put "Here's to the future" in just 8 posts in the last 4 months... I barely try to win Gameaday's anymore and I haven't activly caused a major fuss in 2 years... if it wasn't for the fact I am still a Nintendo fanboy my character is almost unrecognisable. Sad really.

Here's to the future.

I bought a Pokemon Mini last year for a tenner and bought a game in the HMV sale for £3. I never knew there were so many games out for it, can you still buy them any where? and what do you mean by 'repackaged with Pokemon Channel', will you get them free with it or will they be on the GameCube game disk?

Make sense wouldn't it but have you seen the sales of the GB Player? What about the Gamecube with GB player.... how well does that sell...
