england should beat ecuador

I think England's performances in many ways reflect Sven's tactical approach to the game. He's not so bothered about playing to his own team's strengths, instead choosing to neutralise the opponent's strengths.

It doesn't, of course lead to interesting football, but it does make them very hard to beat. I predict England to go through, albeit via penalties.

Ecuador looked like the international equivalent of Wimbledon, all about power and pace, with very little consideration for skill or tactics. If England had played their own game, they would have beaten Ecuador convincingly.

I'm just glad Sven is going, hopefully McLaren hasn't 'learned' too much from him.

England will be out next round for sure. I've seen nothing from England to suggest they can beat Holland or Portugal.

Grandprix? Kawada? Your thoughts on the match and England and Ecuadors performance? Oh and sorry Kawada it's a shame that your girl friend's team get knocked out the world cup by England. But truth be told I think they did extremely well. :)
