That’s right, UFO Enemy Unknown finally runs on XP!

At the moment I’ve built 2 large radar stations, equipped my Interceptors with the newly researched Laser cannons and avalanche missiles. My scientists have completed most research on laser weapons now, only laser defences to go.

All soldiers are equipped with laser rifles, grenades and medikits as standard, though two have rocket launchers with spare ones in their backpacks. A few also have HE. On sorties, I assign a group of ten soldiers and a tank (cannon).

I’ve let a few UFOs get away (the Interceptor is no match for a medium sized one, it almost got destroyed by it), but also destroyed a few.

Unfortunately out of the two missions I’ve completed so far, only two have survived them both; while the first was a terror site mission (we were outnumbered drastically), I still managed to kill them all albeit with heavy casualties. The second mission I thought was going well, up to the point where I thought we were flanking the last alien; in fact, the alien was behind us all along near the edge of the map, and when the soldiers were getting readying to enter the downed UFO, the sectoid threw a high explosive of some sort, killing three in one go! @!£%&£*%!!.

What I don’t understand is why my money is decreasing, despite regular patrols over the same countries that are lowering their funds. Oh well, it was as tough as I remembered.

Though to be honest, I preferred the style of music for the Amiga version.
