Oh dear, oh dear!

Pretty much sums up all I've got to say about this FLOP!

You can only get games on it by downloading them from their site, as it has no CD/DVD drive!

LOL!

And it only has a 100gig HD! How long will it take to fill that with new games!?! And once full will you have to delete games, and then pay for them again to re-download them?

And what about the fact most of Europe isn't on broadband so isn't likely to be able to download the games? Plus with broadband, still takes blummin' ages to download somehting the size of a game!

This console is such a STUPID idea and is DOOOOOOMED to failure!

:)

Maybe you could use the CD Key of your existing game to get linked to a free download.

But that could open up a route to piracy...

Will you have to pay for games again that you already own on the PC if you want to play them on the console tho?

Actually, it could be quite cool.

But I don't know if it will succeed much or not. Specs wise it's great. However, the temptation of paying for a game download would be veery great...

You do indeed have to download the game from their website.

However, all they need do to put a game on their website is get a licence to do so. Considering there's no way the software companies can really lose money on that, and stand to gain quite a bit from sales, there will be quite a few publishers willing to do that. I believe there's a list on their website already, and quite an impressive one at that.

I thought it was that other PC in a box console that was playing nearly any PC software. With this one you 'have' to download stuff to it from their website! So unless they store every game ever made on their servers I see it being quite hard.

It will play just about any PC game. There will be no shortage of sortware, third party or otherwise.

Essentially, it's a PC in a box with a special operating system.

If you could easily program your own games for it, then I think it might be interesting. Other than that, I can't see a reason why anyone would want to buy this barely 3rd party supported console!

I think it will flop, but it has more potential than you give it credit for.

It has lots of power to start with. Yes the games are download only.

A 100 Gb hard drive would hold 58 Gamecube games. How many people have that many games? Not only that, but it has some sort of optimisation for smaller files and quicker downloads.

Broadband is certainly increasing in popularity. And then some people got it specifically for Xbox Live.
