Yes, you can do everything on a HDD a memory card can do. I don't know if I'll get one though as it's far too expensive.

Well, I think you will be able to store files on there...

will the hard drive be a surrogate memory card too ?

I'll probably get one, for the likes of MTV Music Generator. My Mem card is getting quite packed now.

i'm gona pass on the hard drive untill it actually does sommin more than cut loading times down and acts as a 40gig memory card. When more games support it I'll get one but the modem is a must have to play online.
