Recent speculation has linked new Jordan driver, Jean Alesi with a full time drive with the Honda powered outfit in the 2002 season, the Frenchman revealing to local television network TF1 on the weekend that he has signed an agreement that includes the remaining five races this year as well as next year's schedule. However, according to his manager, Mario Miyakawa, the deal is not yet finalized.
Miyakawa admitted that the deal could be done in the very near future, but at this stage, Alesi is only contracted for Hungary, Belgium, Italy, the USA and Suzuka. Insiders believe that the Formula One veteran may retire at the end of the season, despite recent denials, leaving the door open for Takuma Sato, however Miyakawa believes that the chances of seeing Jean in Jordan yellow again next year are very promising.
"I really think this is the impression that we have but I cannot say it's signed because it's not," he said. "We have an option with Jordan but we are still in discussions so it is not confirmed, although the situation looks very good."

If Alesi does stay at Jordan, it would certainly confuse all the people who thought that Jordan would have Sato driving for them to please Honda.
I hope Alesi does stay in F1 next season, hopefully in a reasonably competitive team like Jordan, he deserves to get some good results.
Moving on, Hungarian GP this weekend, I predict Williams qualify outside the top 6. I think DC will get pole, then Hakkinen, then M. Schuey, then hopfully the Jordans.
I'd like to see Jaguar go well here. They had a good race at Monaco and this is a similar style track.
It should be good!
