Yet recently Nintendo has started to listen to their moaning customers! Europe is still not Nintendo’s number one priority but they do know we don’t like being ignored! They have set up Nintendo UK so we have more of a voice so it is a start! We moan the games are too childish so they make their characters look older and make their first horror game Eternal Darkness. And their most recent promise “we will try to get things out when we say we will”. Big job for Nintendo but is this a good thing?
The GBA came out! We haven’t spoken about Nintendo’s wonder hand held that much and that isn’t without good reason. Mario Advanced and F Zero advanced were Nintendo’s main launch titles and it is laughable! A remake of a NES game and a remake of a SNES game sorry but I feel this launch was a bit rushed.
The PS2 suffered the same; my friend got the PS2 with Tekken Tag and FIFA but his most played game was Smackdown 2! It’s the same with me the main games I play on my GBA is Pokémon Silver and Zelda Link’s awakening! For the first time ever I feel Nintendo should of waited.
The Gameboy Colour was and still is shifting a lot of units so why did Nintendo feel they couldn’t wait? The Gameboy Colour would of got the ending it deserves with the oracle games, Kirby tilt and tumble and of course Pokémon Crystal. The GBA would of then got the start it deserves, Mario Kart Super Circuit! The most anticipated GBA title, this isn’t Mario Kart or Mario Kart 64 it is a brand new title! This is what would of made GBA’s launch more successful.
So whilst we moan why do we have to wait until spring for the Gamecube I worry that Nintendo will push it forward and we might feel disappointed. How good would the 64 be without Mario 64 at the start? Nintendo waited until that was finished and the 64’s start was perfect! If Nintendo decides to delay the Gamecube a month in Japan I wouldn’t be disappointed as then Pikmin and Super Smash Brothers Melee would be finished and the release will have more than Luigi’s mansion and Wave Rave as Nintendo’s main titles.
So if Nintendo delay something we moan, we throw a wobbly and send them threatening letters but they probably have our best interests at heart.

I'll admit that the delay of a console can be a royal pain in the rear but I would rather have a reliable fully working console than a rushed one that has been brought out to please people.
I think developers rush alot of things to try please customers or to compete with rival releases. I think that developers should only release their game when it is the best they think they can make it. Im not bothered about the wait as long as its worth it in the end.
I think one of the problems is information is given away to early, even a year before the release date. People get impatient and things get rushed.
If they released information about their up-coming games or console a few months before the release then maybe things wouldn't be as bad.
:-D
> Silicon Knights are funded by Nintendo though.
Nintendo's second party developers work together very heavily, star fox adventures for the GC is being made by RARE but Shigsy is helping, Dyak the Silicon knights genius may not neede Shigsy but he is working with Nintendo!
And since the original method of, you know too much now you must die doesn't work, they couldn't keep everyone waiting too long?? Could they?
