Lol, yes thats what i ment, it's how i have mine set up to.
i dunno if i did what you said - that got a little confusing? - in the end i got the original xbox scart lead, plugged the power into the back of the xbox (obveously) and then there was the 3 wires - red, yellow and white. they had a cable around them. i cut that open to plug the video lead into the side of me tv and i plugged the red and white into the back of my stero...and bingo...me very happy :-)
Take out the 2 sound wires in the scart cable and put them into the back of your stereo, if you need a longer lead then buy one, plug it into the sound on the scart and then plug that into the stereo.
Thats how i have it.
