i was recently reading an old nintendo mag when i found an interview with shigsy, the gc hadnt been released yet so he was talking about the features, i saw that he was talking bout the 3 inch disks, and said because they are small nintendo can afford to release them at a price around 25 quid, has that happened yet, err NO! But i supose we do pay a small amount of money seeing as the developers spend months even years developing them. We do only pay around 40 quid for years of magic, well on some games lol!

Actually, the Players Choice range has an R.R.P. of £19.99

Sure, they may be re-releases of games that have been out for a while.

However, when you consider that the Players Choice range on the Nintendo 64 had an R.R.P. of £29.99, it kinda puts things into perspective.

Yeah but when you think the n64 games cost about 50 quid they are suposed to be higher, but players choice should be 10 quid and the games should be 25

I remember them saying that the reason these new DVD style boxes were produced was to lower the price of games. BS!! PS1 games were £30, so why not PS2? Hell, some are even £45 in the shops.

And how much of the production costs of a game - what percentage of those years of hard work goes on making the casing for it.
Feck all.

Nintendo are a major software developer it is where nearly all their money comes from.

Gamecube games are released at £19.99 (Beyond Good and Evil, WWE Crush Hour) and most games are easily found for £30 these days...

Games used to be at least £40 so we've had a £10 drop from generation.

Indeed, remember new N64 games could cost up to £60? And now we've got new games for £30? Stop whining!

I paid £60 for DK 64 and an exp pack.

But it did let me play Perfect Dark and Rush 2049 in their full glory.
