i'm looking to buy a playstation2 but i don't have anything like £300 at the moment. does anyone know where i can pick up a second hand one?

Also, can i buy an american one online and will it work in england? will i be able to play games bought in the highstreet on it?

Online search engines are a grwat way to find a PS2 but I would strongly suggest that your local paper is used. I found one in mine A PS2 with 2 controlers a 8mb memory card and copies of ZOE and F1 2001.

You should be able to find a second hand PS2 in your local paper in the classified sections.
Ive seen a couple knocking around (I live in lovely Leicester) but obviously buying second hand can be a gamble.
On the other hand, you can get some bargains.
If you have a DC or an PS1, some shops like GameStation or other smaller privately owned game shops may offer you a good trade-in deal.

And a US machine won't work here, or play the games.

i doubt u will able to find a 2nd hand PS2, u will have to look pritty hard.
