Hello, I got Grand Prix 4 as a free gift from SR and cant get get it to run, I have installed the latest patch and all my drivers are up to date. I have dx 9.0b but when I go to play the game I get the Please install dx 8.1 to run the game. I am using xp pro and my set up is way above the required minimum. Anyone any ideas how to get it going. (compatibility mode makes no difference).
Re-install the game and then if it still doesn't work... Go to start >> run >> dxdiag and go to the display tab. Make sure all the hardware accelerations are enabled as this is what happened to me when I installed new RAM and everytime I tried to play a game I came across the same direct x errors.
