Apparently Alex Ferguson is afraid of chelsea's new lightning quick midfield and expects them to provide serious competition.

although not a united fan i think this year man u have no threats in winning it this year, they have more top quality players than en other english side but i think it will be interesting to see how they do when ferguson leaves

Ferguson already knows that arsenal and liverpool wont be serouis threats.

Liverpool have hardly bought anyone and will do a "leeds" this season. concentrate too hard on the champions league and thier premiership performance will suffer.

Arsenal havnt sigined any top notch quality players. they are all average players and none of them seem to threatning.

Chelsea on the other hand have bought an entire new mid-field which possess a fine balance of Power(petit), vision(lampard) and pace(zendon).

Saying Man Utd's main threat is Chelsea is not a compliment to Chelsea, but a put down to Manchester Uniteds other main rivals, Liverpool and Arsenal.

By not being mentioned as a threat the seeds of self doubt will have been planted....

Ferguson is just playing mind games as usual. he does it all the time. I have to say though Chelsea have got a very strong midfield now. i think the signing of Petit should make them very solid.

Depends upon how long this team takes to gel will determine if they can threaten man utd this year.

Both London clubs.Easy mistake to make. Maybe Ferguson made a mistake.
