Well I am stuck, hit a brick wall...

Last night I downloaded Windows Media Player so I can play my MP3's on them and noticed a feature which meant I could put a CD in and put my songs on computer, ah that would be excellent to make play-lists. So I put in the CD and an error message appeared... all jibberish something like " AE004689F... error", thats it. So I tired to continue didn't work. I kept trying, restarting computer and relised nothing wrong with media player but my CD ROM does not accept a simple bloody CD.

I have never put a CD in it since I got a new one about a month ago and CD player is next to PC in first place... so whats wrong and how do I fix it? :D

I had the exacy same problems as SHEEPY, I would put a CD into the CD drive click on 'Media Player' and the computer would either freeze or go onto a blue screen with an error message. I have 'Windows ME' now and it's been working fine. I use RP now because it's easy to use.

cooldogs - I have a Ricoh CDRW/DVD combo drive on my PC and have no problems playing CD's.

I have WinMe now, but I had Win98 until june, and never had any problem with it.

RJ is really good.

Have you all had a problem with playing CD's and Win98 cos I've been fine, I play them all the time, oh but I've got a dVD player in my computer, that's probably the problem!

You should get Real Jukebox.

Especially if you hae a CD-RW, it'll burn ANY music file onto a CD - only 5 minutes per song! (plugin required!)
