just curious...

i may get a vga adaptor whilst i am over here...

oh in that case...then i might get one once i get back from hk...
they are selling it for....240 quid along with gran turismo 3...
but it is ntsc...

they have no real competition at the moment so they dont need to cut the price. My prediction is a price cut a few weeks before the Gamecube comes out.

You are better off going to winacar.co.uk and entering special reserve's PS2 draw/compo.

That reminds me, they already cut the price in Japan to the equivalent of £210 denying they went back on what they said. They are probably testing the water to see if the price cut is profitable to their game sales.

Straight from the horses mouth (Sony)- sony cannot drop the price of PS2 currently because they sell the PS2 at a loss and make money from game sales and everybody seems to buy the machiene and buy DVD's and rent the games.
Still, I have the same problem you do and I'm hoping to get a good price in the January sales.

With the release of Gamecube and X-Box next year (in UK) expect a decent price drop.The price of a PS2 in Japan at the moment is 35000 yen which is about £200.

Sony have said not to expect another price drop this year.
