Mine happened yesterday....
There I was playing Red Faction, just messing around killing people in new and inventive ways when I noticed the time and decided to call it a night.
Little did I know that I had a foot wrapped around the Dualshock cable... I got up , went to walk from the room when suddenly I felt a tugging sensation.
It was one of those moments when time seems to stand still, when it is obvious what is about to happen, but there's nothing that can be done about.
I saw my PS2 sliding from the table and gracefully arcing through the air, to land perfectly on its front right corner... on a hardwood floor.
I just froze, and the air turned blue with obsceneties !
The I looked up, the TV screen was black, TV was still turned on.
Oh Jaysus I thought, I've killed my PS2.
Thankfully I'd only pulled out the TV cable from the back. I put it back in, restarted the machine, and glory of glories it started up no problem. Sturdy machine that.
Not a pleasant moment.
Funnily enough, the buzzing noise from the DVD motor seems to have diminished ! Although I don't recommend this method of repair.
Anyone else out there got a bad PS2 experience ?
> space haha, I'm sure Sony can spare it for a poor man like me so

i work for sony . what you need to do is send the extra memory card to me. and i will hand it back for you
am i not a nice guy
I've kocked my 2 controllers of my small set of drawers a couple of times which is starting to get to me but my worst moment was when my PS2 memory card kept giving me a blue icon saying "corrupted data" then later on packed in all together with months of game saves which i worked very hard for, then to top that off I couldn't fnd the recipt ARRGHH £28 gone.
After recovering from my loss i rang Sony to see what i could do they said send it off to sony hq they'll examine it and if it's faulty they'll send me a new one, oh thankyou Sony.
So i sent it off with proof of postage and waited about 2 or so weeks and was getting frustated at not being able to save and gave them a ring to find out when I'll get new one.
A few days later i find a brand new PS2 memory card in the post and was very pleased that i didn't have to buy a new one but thats not the end of it a couple more days later ANOTHER memory card came in the post so now i have 16 mb of space haha, I'm sure Sony can spare it for a poor man like me so it's not a complete loss.
