Im trying to decide whether to get GC or Xbox after selling my PS2, im thinking about the GC cause its cheap and online, well, thats what i've heard.
Is it true that the Gc is online, how much is the adaptor?

phantasy star online episode 2+3 is online and i highly recommend it. execeelnt conversion from dreamcast with loads of new lvls .characters .weaps and more =)ive done 600hrs on my gc and im still gagging for more lol also u got mario kart/kirbys air ride and more comin i should imagine.=)
I've made my decision.....im not gonna sell my PS2 cause its suddenly started to work and there are loads of great games coming to the PS2 in the near future, eg. Socom 2, FF11, Killzone, MGS4 and loads more.
I'm surprised you weren't aware Gamecube was online already. Gamecube was online before PS2 and Xbox.
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Kirby Air Ride and 1080: Avalanche are all online, and 3 of the best multiplayer titles I've played in ages.

If my Xbox had decent offline stuff except for KOTOR, I'd not be selling it.
GC is slowly expanding online, but Xbox is the better bet for online stuff at the moment, as that's its main focus.

I don't get bored with it. I don't have particularly much time for it either, and haven't been able to get on Live in a bit since the untimely death of my router, but I really liked it. It's like multiplayer, except with more people to play with, at any time of day, and with the occasional downloadable bonus.
Rainbow six 3 will be online as will phantasy star online 3... obviously.

Debatable. I prefer my Xbox to my GC.
Still, it was about online games, and there is currently only one proper online game. Sure there are a couple of others on their way, but they are also going to be online in the Xbox and PS2 incarnations.
With them both being Ubisoft games, expect the Xbox versions to be the better ones. If you want an online console then you really are better off with an Xbox.

Gamecube also has the best offline games, which is the reason I own it.
