Over the past week I have read quite a lot of posts about the philosophy of gaming. These posts were intelligent, well thought out and well written, and they got me thinking.
It was a while later when I realised they were complete and utter nonsense.
Gaming isn't about opening a door into a new world, or the key to your imagination or any other such metaphores. It is simply playing a game which is fun. Maybe you do it because you can't do it in real life? Maybe you do it for the challenge. Whatever the reason you play games, I can guarantee it isn't as a way of looking deep into your soul.Gaming is much better compared to a sport then reading or writing a good book.
This isn't meant as a dig at the people who were writing these topics, I'm just posting my opinion on them.
