I have been playing the spider solitary (the one provided im Microsoft Windows XP)for a long time. I think there might be a serious bug in it.

I suspect that when you start the game and it deals the cards in the 10 stacks it actually doesn't put anything there, it waits to deal the card when you ask for it.

Now, what I have notice is that most of the time a specific card will keep appearing. That is if you get a four, there will be a tendency to keep dealing fours more than the average.. This keeps happening through the game with other cards. I think there is a bug in the dealing algorythm for the four decks of cards it 'uses'.

Does any body know of an algorith where I can feed the result (the dealed cards) and check that the deal is statistically sound or not?

Thanks

Correction: it uses two decks of cards (52 X 2 = 104 cards)
Sorry
