Gets more and more expensive all the time, I think the lottery would help greatly!
Cheers Wookiee
i.e. You can't play a 4-player on 2 PS2s - you need 4 PS2s, 4 TVs and 4 copies of GT3.
For a 6-player game, you need 6 of each, along with i-Link cables and a 6-port i-Link hub.
>so 3 x PS2 = 6 players. i want a whole telly to myself
>how many can you link together. are they not chained
Ok, if I get this wrong then anyone who wants to jump in and slap me feel free!
The way I've read it either in previous posts or from the web is that each person plays 2 player on a tv but upto 3 tvs will give 6 players all racing 2 per person on each tv (hope that sentance makes sense).
Yeah I agree, I'd wanna have a tv all to myself but I suppose somethings gotta give.
As for chaining, I think if you've just got 2 PS2s then you just chain them together but when you introduce a third PS2 then you will require a hub, this is based on networking technology.
As I said at the start, if I've got this wrong and anyone wants to offer their advice then feel free.
I'd expect the SR staff to have all this setup in their office so they mustbe experts at it!! :-)
If you want to play a two player game then it's off to the

so 3 x PS2 = 6 players. i want a whole telly to myself
how many can you link together. are they not chained

If you want to play a two player game then it's off to the Arcade Mode for you....on the other hand if you have the following :-
3 x TVs
3 x PS2s
3 x GT3 copies
1 x i-link Hub
3 x i-link cables
Then you link them all up invite 5 more of your friends round for an evening of racing entertainment!
How cool is that????? Apart from going to the arcade and playing on sega rally or daytona 500 which are linked up, when was the last time you had a chance to race against 5 of your mates at the same time in the comfort of your own home??
Sounds good to me, all I need now is a large house, nice car, good woman, 5 mates, 2 more PS2 and 2 more big TVs, I think a lottery win here would be advantageous!!
> has anybody played gt3 by linking 2 ps2,s together
whats your

i would imagine its just the same as normal one player mode, except the other player is human controlled i geuss
>has anybody played gt3 by linking 2 ps2,s together
>whats your opinion
Nope not yet, although I have another 2 mates who both have PS2s and copies of GT3, the i-link cables are about £20 each and if you want to link up three PS2s then your gonna need a hub costing about £75 plus additional cables.
The next problem is carting the TV's around to someones house, especially as most people will want to play on a big screen then this requires a fairly big car etc etc etc
I think you can see the problems that are involved, if you've got loads of money and a spare room (or a mate has this) then go for it but I think it'll be a while before we hear about this working.
