Some people are now saying there is 6, not 4, Polyphony cars in GT3 - lovely - but has anyone seen the other 4??

Yup, IGN would probably be referring to the US version.
I know there are some non-F1 Polyphony cars - I've seen one in a screenshot somewhere, and it looked like a Viper.
Obviously, not listing the type of car, the Official Winners Guide also gives no indication of whether any of these cars are duplicated prizes for different races. I'd think that's unlikely though.

IGN would be talking about the US version though wouldnt they?

According to the list of races and prize cars in the GT3 'Official Winners Guide' there are quite a few 'Polyphony Racing Cars' - most of which are won for the Endurance races.
It does not, however, give any clue as to whether these are F1 cars or not.
