Hello.

I seem to remember reading on this group a few days ago that the rather clever regionX cartridge also gets around the (still pathetic) RGB/green screen kindly provided by Sony.

Is this true ? Will regionX allow me to play DVDs through an RGB connection ?

Any info....?

Yeah, what 'spoony' said.

Ive got the Region X too, which works in Colour, using RGB scart, and yes the remote works too.

I recommend getting one of these even if you dont intend to buy DVDs from other regions, as you can watch DVDs using RGB scart and for people like me who couldnt be arsed to change over leads all the time from games to dvds, i can now watch games using scart too, which, as we know LOOKS WICKED.

I can confirm that you DO get colour output with your RGB lead. It requires the DVD boot disk , and a special card in mem. slot 2. You also need to put in a code found at the region-x website (this is then stored on the mem. card).

The dvd remote goes into a controller port, not a memory port - yes you can use them both at the same time.

Can I still use a DVD remote with my PS2 if I use DVD Region X?

This may be a daft question but hey, I'm thick.

I WANT MY PS2!!! ah well, only £380 till I've got enough. Anyone want any jobs doing??

It does, go to www.dvdregionx.com, find the updated codes, follow the insturctions and you have RGB DVD playback. I can guarantee this because I have one.
