Will Mircosoft conqour the console marhet? Will X-Box Rule?
Are they new?
> Did they re-release it or something?
I 'think' they did, the man to ask who probably knows for sure is Dan2K1.
There were two chip modems designed, one in the far east and one in Mexico, the former being 33kbps and the Mexican one being 56kbps.
All I know is mine's Mexican, and very fast, and has the number 56 stamped on it. :-).
The question shouldn't be which is the best console, but who has the best line-up of games.
As yet I have not been tempted to by a console. This is due to the lack of quality games for any of them. By this I mean more than a dozen quality games for each console.
I cann't see the point of buying a console just to play a few games.
However if the titles for the x-box turn out as expected, Then I will buy one.
And yes I think the x-box will "win the wars".
Mine has a 56k modem. Lucky me :-).

Of course not you stupid fool ;-)
FM: The DC had a 33.3kbps modem.
It'll be nice to have a console with huge backing from a most of the respected developers in the gaming industry.
It'll be nice to know that with the backing of a man as rich as Bill Gates that this console won't go the way of the Dreamcast purely because of financial difficulties.
It'll be nice to finally have a console designed by gamers for gamers.
It'll be even better if the X-Box is actually capable of what on paper it says it is capable of, but we'll have to wait until November for feedback on that one.
It'll be great to have exclusives like Project Gotham Racing and Malice, and be able to look forward to titles such as NASCAR Heat, Metal Gear X (STILL not canned) and The Thing when they finally get released.
It'll be a nice upgrade to be able to play with a DSL connection instead of the old 56k one that the Dreamcast had.
