why don't these console people make PCI board versions of their machines? i mean, they all complain about people making emulators and downloading roms, if they simply release a piece of hardware that lets you play console games through your pc utilising your RAM, soundcard and 3d card and perhaps even a little hard drive space they'd make loads of money, it'd be great to stick a PSone inside your pc and use it from there.

You just popped the cartridges into a slot on the front of the PC.
For consoles such as the PS1 and N64 you don't even need a PCI add-in. These consoles can be emulated in software already.
What would be better was if Sony was to develop a PC Playstation emulator that fully emulated the PS1, so that you could play any PS game on it.
The current options (Bleem, VGS etc) only work with a limited number of games.
If you wanted to emulate the PS2 generation of consoles you would need a PCI add in of some sort.
