I found it very dissapointing. After such a great game, I though I'd *get* something for completing it. But nothing. No new skins, no new multiplayer maps, nothing.
OK, so I really liked the end cutscene. But I still find that completeing such a wondeful game is a bit lacking.
Anyone else?
But at the moment I'm trying to complete Deus Ex, I'm 14 seasons into my PSV Champ Manager game, I'm still trying to finish amateur league on GT3 and I've just got a GBA.
So, I think completing it on medium is fine for me at the moment!!
Still, an absolutely amazing game.
I'd much rather have a company put all there efforts into making the game look, sound and play superbly than have them put together a middle of the road game with fantastic FMV!
Gaming should be about beating the game regardless of the rewards! I remember back in the days of Street Fighter 2 on the SNES, that was all about conquering the game on the hardest skill level. You didn't get anything extra for doing it, just the knowledge that you were good enough at the game to do it was reward enough (of course you'd have seen the end sequences so many times by this point that it felt like you were being punished for finishing it, so it was best to just turn the console off as soon as Bison pegged it).
This has always been how I have treated games, it's always nice to have something pretty to look at upon completion and if its a story driven game then its nice (but not essential) to have all the loose ends tied up.
Games are like Lego, the fun is in the building. As long as you have fun getting to the end thats the most important thing.
But then I'm a great believer in gameplay over graphics or anything else for that matter, so top quality end sequences or rewards for finishing a game wouldn't appeal to me too much. Replay value is always good but I'd much prefer that a game demands replaying because it's so damn good rather than the ability play a dull game in a different costume.
Needless to say I am currently navigating my way through Red Faction on the top skill level!
