i was in hmv (in hong kong) if you don't know by now and i saw some japanese vcds for sale....
and there was one that caught my eye called "battle royale" which was an 18 (btw i thought you should know that to get an 18 rating in hk is really quite difficult to get -only really goes to porn films and disturbing films such as lolita, american psycho and even pulp fiction)....all the others are just 15s...
yeah well battle royale is about how in the near future adults lose faith in their children and they begin to fear thier children and so this new scheme is set up called the battle royale where a random group of 9th graders are taken to take part in this game...and what happens in this game you ask?? well you get left on an empty island each person given a random kit with a weapon of some sort (some are useless) and then kill each other until only one survives, who surprise surprise is the winner...
okay so this one group gets hijacked and you follow what happens to them (41 of them in total)...
well the reason why this thing got such a high rating is because.....there is so much graphic killing....
from knives being thrown to into people's foreheads, people having 100s of bullets shot into them, axes being thrusted into peoples heads, heads exploding ....well you get the picture
it was actually quite a good film but is it REALLY that necessary to be that graphic?? also when the rules are being explained there's this really jolly woman who tells them really happily what's gonna happen...actually quite funny really...
where do the japanese come up with these ideas..??

Rasist? it not my folt that teachers these days dont have the skills to teach, expecially with geography!

Weird? All the greatest fighting movies are Japanese, Bruce Lee performed in some great Japanese movies.
