So, having finally got the time I decide it's time to play SOCOM II Online.

I have set up my network adaptor ages ago, and it connects to Central Station everytime, I've had my confirmation thing in the post and confirmed my account. Twisted Metal Black has been played for about 20 mins one or two months ago.

An hour of trying to find an unclaimed username goes by. Finally I find one and get the magic "do you want to register this name?" type dialogue on SOCOM II. Of course I do, so I select Yes, it goes to a screen on about connecting to something or other, and quickly the status goes to;

State: Registration Failure

And I'm chucked back to the create persona screen.

Ideas anyone? I'm searching the net also but I don't see what the problem is, apart from Sony's Online effort being like Frankenstein's Monster...a patchwork that barely works.

Well done for having the miniscule ability to use the "Users Online" feature of the site. Your parents will be proud.

No the credit goes to you. For trying to be superior. And failing.

Exploiting and putting down other peoples actions is your favoured activity but not your forté.

WRONG. I was simply looking through the PS2 forum.

Go back to "anger" management for hermit classes please.

Ah right...

Christ, Xbox Live was so easy to use and this is like, well, primitive.

I've said that before.

Anyway you should really have stuck to Ghost Recon and RS3.

Hmmm. I see the moron ratio is higher than on Live as well.

Can't see me bothering with this much online and if it represents the best Sony can do then....

Hopefully Ghost Recon Jungle Storm will be better. Anyone got that?

Nope. Considered it, but I tried PS2 online for about an hour and thought something along the lines of "[editted....] not as good as Live."
