According to PCPRO's website. BT are to launch a 2 way satalite system for customers in the scottish Higlands, northeren Ireland and eventualy other ADSL deprived areas. But before everyone jumps for joy, In good old BT style the system comes with a monthly price of £100 (Instalation?) and satalite is not suitable for Video confrencing which i asume will also include streaming video. I think but can not be sure that satalite is also not a very stable platform for online gameing. Oh well at least you get something better than 56K modem.
The satelite will be fine for downloads and web surfing but has a lot of lag and so will be useless for gaming, video conferencing or anything else that requires quick two way communication.
