Sorry, but she won't be reading this, so I will tell you about my wife's addiction to chocolate - she really was what I consider to be addicted. Everyday when I returned from work I would see her there in the sofa chocolate all round her face with that guilty look and a chocolate bar wrapper hidden in her hand - she isn't fat in anyway, I have no idea how she isn't, but it becames something we both had to deal with - seriously, no joking here.
She was going through a rough time at work, and turned to comfort food, although she did talk to me about her worries, maybe just hiding the deeper ones, and so her new best friend was the chocolate bar. I've never been a great lover of chocolate - I could never eat more than one mars bar or something similar a day - anything more would be too sickly for me, but my wife? Oh no, I would leave the house after her, me working two hours later, grab some breakfast, then come home to find something different - I couldn't put a finger on it at first, but soon, as the weeks went on, I noticed that every day no less than 5 chocolate bars, often more (she loves Aeros, crunchies and Snickers) had disappeared when I got home - I have no idea why we had so much chocolate, I never really asked why, but then I asked her about it.
Oh dear. "Where's all the chocolate gone?"
"WHAT? ARE YOU ACCUSING ME!? ARGH - MEN!"
She said, clearing showing that denial is a blatantly obvious sign of guilt, I never even accused her! But she did start putting on a few pounds - not that much, but slightly noticeable around the stomach area, which kinda had me worried for obvious reasons, but one day I came home early (she finishes work 2 hours before, chocolate time I guess), and went round the back, just to sneak up on her and caught her slouching on the sofa, five chocolate wrappers on the table, chocolate on her face and one bar in her hand. It was me against the double decker -"put it down" I said in a calm, hidden terrified voice, she looked like she was going to suddenly jump up and attack me with the cadbury's confectionary, but fortunately she put it down, had cry and confessed her addiction to me.
I comforted her, replacing her chocolate and she told me what had happened at work - the secret stuff that she didn't want me to know about before, and for confidential reasons I cannot tell you the extremety or details of what had happened, but now, she's over her addiction now, we still eat chocolate occasionally and have a good laugh about it, I know you may find this a bit hard to believe, but I was really getting scared - over 2 months of compulsive eating!! And she didn't even invite me...
Oh well, thanks for reading, she's fine now :)
