That's a decent modem to get if wireless isn't important. Ineedsleep has that one I think (you will most likely catch her in the 'PS2 Longest Thread').

With a unit like that, both your PC and PS2 can be connected and you still won't need the PC switched on to use the PS2. It'll practically act like a direct connection - that's what it does.

I'm sorry to say, but AOL are probably the worst ISP to use for online gaming. I don't even think they have a proper system in place yet. If you do happen to come across any problems with AOL, I'm afraid I won't be able to help in that field.

But yeah, go for that modem. It's affordable and will do the job a wonder.

Hi bullett, thank you for repling and giving me some constructive info, at last i seem to be getting somewhere, here is the link to the modem, see what you think. http://tinyurl.com/ywqhe I am not bothered about wireless networking, im able to pay up to 90 pounds for a modem, like i said i just want to make a direct connection with my ps2, and connect my pc seperately when i need to. To good news is aol have finally reconized online gaming, but they keep going on about wireless networking, when it comes to getting the ps2 online. cheers bullett.

If it's a modem, router in one and has multiple ethernet ports, it'll work. You won't need your PC on then.

The joys of no longer having to use ICS...

Have you got a link to the modem in question?

Finally, how much are you willing to spend on a modem? Is wireless a factor to be considered?
