Enterbrain Takes PS2 To School?
It's looking like a new RPG School will bring new freedom to amateur creators on PS2.
August 1, 2001
According to the Japanese rumor mill, Enterbrain's RPG School 5 is due to be announced soon for PlayStation 2 (likely in this week's issue of Famitsu). The RPG School series allows aspiring game creators to design their own adventure (a la ASCII/Agetec's RPG Maker, with which some of you may be familiar). The new version makes a substantial leap forward on its new platform, though, allowing gamers to tinker with 3D graphics, even if the basic top-down third-person perspective appears to remain the standard. Also notable is USB keyboard support, which should make inputting text a breeze.
RPG School 5 is allegedly scheduled for sale in Japan in December. Check back soon for confirmation and further details.
