And why?
Personally I think they should revamp FF7 and maybe FF8 too and put it on Gamecube, you know like Capcom did with Resident Evil (the first one, not the copys of 2 and Nemesis. I think it would be great especially as they are making a movie of FF7.
Back on topic, this scan is from a Japanese magazine, unveiling a new FF game with a Cube logo on it. Crystal Chronicles sequel?

Here's a tip I was once tought... every game that is re-released as a special edition GETS a sequel.
It's released twice to gain a larger fan base... REsident Evil did it for example as did MGS2.
Viewtiful Joe had a special edition released, as did Animal Crossing and as is Skies... well it's getting re-released anyway.

A Dreamcast VMU-style screen (but full colour TFT, not LCD of course) embedded in the controller would be perfect for N5, and Ninty would be happy as it would push connectivity - could plug into the DS or GBA2 for example.
> Don't care for epic RPG... that is Skies job...
Too bloody right, but another would surely not be a bad thing.. FFCC just doesn't have that epic feel, the depth and characterisation to it that Skies had.
In the future, another Gamecube-unique Final Fantasy, but with less dependency on having GBAs. Multi can use them, but controllers can be used as well. I see why Crystal Chronicles was done like it was: Ninty trying to push it's fanatical connectivity crusade.
Without a Skies sequel in the forseeable future though, Square-Enix may have to be relied upon to come up with something that could rival the mighty SoAL.
That way, for games that involve this level of interactivity between friends in a game, you wouldn't need to spend £360 for four friends.
Granted their should be two versions of the N5 controller, should this happen. A standard one (which would make a nice profit if it sold for £15 considering the costs of making a controller are so small) and the one with built-in screen for those who wish to spend more on this sort of game, retailing it at the price of a game maybe.
That way, the next Final Fantasy Nintendo release may even reach a larger fanbase!
Want more connectivity FF games but perhaps the next one is more for the N5.
I'd like a Mario RPG port for the GBA and perhaps a new Mario RPG for the Gamecube.
