I think you'll all agree that sonic heroes weren’t that good. Nor are any 3d sonic games these days.

I remember those days on the mega drive. The sonic games for that were fantastic.

So sonic team, intead of making crappy 3D Sonics, make a Viewtiful Joe type sonic, a 2D eye candy master piece with plenty of platforming fun.

Food for thought.

I recently got Sonic R for the PC. It's great fun. In answer the unlocking of characters on it, you have to collect the 5 little icons around the level and when the race is finished, you race a hidden character.

I don't think returning to 2D would do Sonic Team any good, as there 3D games are better than the 2D ones. They just need to sort out dodgy camera angles and get rid of those crappy adventure sections (if they already haven't) to get a mroe refined and fun to play game.

The only reason I enjoyed Battle was the twisty-turny rollercoaster-esque Sonic and Shadow levels, and to be honest it's some of the best fun I've had on my Cube. Far from perfect, but a taste of what a true 3D SOnic should be like.

If you're going to make a triumphant leap back to 2D, you at least need to bring something new to it, something that a new Sonic game wouldn't do.

Or, going by how crap Billy Hatcher is, Sonic Team have just lost it.

I'm bored of Sonic.
He had no personality or character and hasn't developed at all since the first game.

Yeah, a huge 2D sonic game, Cel shaded, with plenty of power ups, and bonus stages. If it was aimed at the older audience, I think that would work too. Because the older audience was once the younger audience of the megadive era – if you understand what I’m saying.

Think about it!
