That figure is Europe-wide though, UK only gets around 250,000 units.
Given the popularity of the brand, I reckon it will still sell out.

Oh well, I think the other issue is that they're releasing 1 million units (well, apparently, not like Sony ever lie about figures...) which should mean that it won't sell out. Which, although is good in one respect, doesn't make it sound so hot in the newspapers to those who don't usually read the sales figures but go on the more headline-grabbing news reports of not being able get one after launch...
