Ok, having played with a LOT of bands over the past year, I am constantly amused and entertained by the names people choose for their bands.

Why that name?
Depends, the band I am in got their name through simple elimination of snappy, short words.

However, some other names are works of either evil genius or demented crayon munching by bilbos.

So, what are the best names for bands you've ever heard? (And NO making them up or that defeats the object)

There is another an*l .... band, but I'd never get away with it here! This is such a good topic, but my memory is so bad, I forget all the really good ones......

Mucky Pup
Dead Kennedys (of course)
Supersuckers (top band as well)
Diving for Pearls (cheesy 80s rock band, good name though)

and of course, Swallowing S***

Don't know name but there was a band that had 7 names in it :D

'The Rock of Travolta' was a pretty nifty one I heard.

oh and 'The B*stard Son of Tommy Cooper'

or was that a commedian I saw at Reading.
