What do you lot think the worst ever sequel??
*waits intently for a reply*
I meant the 'worst sequel to a game ever!!!!!'
> What? That doesn't even make any sense!
What I meant is that disappointment is just a factor to every body except me, to me it's everything.

Well, to me, a sequal is only a sequal when it's up to the expectations.
FIFA 2002 was a sequel, so was Metal Gear Solid 2. FIFA's the poorer of those games, so if asked "what's the worst sequel?", it's logical to say FIFA. Disappointment is a factor, but it doesn't rule the decision.

Because we weren't expecting Fifa 2002 to be good in the first place, so we weren't disappointed.

So am I. But I hate all Tomb Raider games.
Think along these lines - I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Angel of Darkness either.

I'm going to change my vote. Metal Gear Solid 2 was not as good as the original but DMC 2 was no where near as good as the original. I vote for Devil May Cry 2.
Sorry worst sequel has to be Devil may cry 2.
Terrible. Terrible. terrible.
Metal Gear Solid 2 wasn't as good as the first, but it had a hell of a lot going for it. It was a very enjoyable and very varied game to play, incredibly satisfying and had a surprising amount of replay value. What niggles it had could be overlooked in light of the enhanced gameplay mechanics, superbly created atmosphere and that "professional" feeling as you executed various manouveurs. The storyline had a few holes and the cut scenes were rather too long, but few can deny it wasn't compelling from the offset and that the characters were colourful and vibrant.
Worst sequel ever? You may have been disappointed, but there's no way in hell this is the worst ever - it's quite easily an 8/10 game which, in my books, is damn good. Vice City, for example, carried the same level of disappointment for me, but that didn't make it a bad game. There's so much more rubbish out there that you're spoilt for choice - games like FIFA 2002 were massive steps backwards and poor to play, why not vote for something like that that deserves it?
