For the record, i really liked the first BATMAN film - it was dark and atmospheric, true as could be expected to the comics of Frank Miller and had fantastic Danny Elfman music.
You might want to also say which one of his films you least like...
> you all forgot mars attacks
Actually, i thought MARS ATTACKS was vastly underated, and should have done better than it did.
I also think that the opening credits of his films (both BATMAN RETURNS and MARS ATTACKS come to mind) coupled with the scores by Danny Elfman are masterpieces in themselves, effectively setting the scene/characters of the coming movie without giving away the plot and a rare instance of director and composer both working well together.
I did a 'Tim Burton: Genius or crazy freak' post some time ago, before this forum had reached the popularity of today.
I love his movies, and agree with whoever said that he works best with Depp.
Edward Scissorhands was such a great movie, as was Sleepy Hollow.
But Ed Wood. That's a damn fine movie. Best 'bio-pic' I've ever seen.
However, I tend to prefer it when Burton teams up with Mr. Jonny Depp (Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, etc.) All fantastic.
In fact most things that Tim Burton touches end up in my video/DVD collection.
(I don't have Batman anymore though:-()
