YES! CHRISTMAS IS ONLY 5 MONTHS AWAY!! Well, less than that really, but you know places like John Lewis will be opening up their Xmas stock before October...

Here's my happy 5-month pre-Christmas post...

Firstly, here’s my top ten wish list - everyone HAS to have one, here's mine, please don't laugh!

Bit of a strange thing to write about right now, but this way my family and friends won't have any excuses! Christmas is the best time of year, apart from the summer, spring and autumn - all very good too, but here's 10 things I wouldn't mind for Christmas. No matter how unrealistic they may be, the idea of a wish list is not to write boring things, like flannels, cds, etc. Well, not in my view anyway!

10) I really could do with a portable CD player - one of the really flashy Panasonic ones, with superb sound, quality and style. They're around £100, so it could be a realistic gift, but I would love one of these for my remainder year at college.

9) A holiday to New Zealand! I haven't been to many places outside of Europe, I'd love to go with some friends to New Zealand - it looks so much fun, great scenery and loads to do there. Skydiving, scuba diving - then I could go on to visit Australia. Brilliant!

8) A laptop PC, it's great using the Internet, I find it an excellent time consumer and way to earn money, look around, meet new people and to gain knowledge, but I have never used a laptop before, and a nice slim line Dell laptop would be most welcome.

7) Tickets to Smackdown in the USA! As a great fan of wrestling, even at my age, I would love to go to the US and watch it live in one of the arenas - go with a couple of mates, it'd be fantastic. It's all staged, so what? It's first-rate entertainment.

6) A TVR Speed 12 - these cars look the nuts, really smooth and beefy British sports cars just ooze quality and style. This car is only available in GT form I think, but I would love a ride in one, even if I couldn't own one. Looks so, so very impressive. I need to look at this car.

5) Liverpool to be 15 points clear at the top of the Premiership at Christmas time and for them to go on and win the Premier league title, FA Cup, Worthington Cup and Champions League. That would make my decade. Superb squad, great manager - The reds are going to do very well, a bit of luck is always welcome!!

4) Here's a slightly more sensitive one, so please don't laugh at this - I wish that all cruelty to animals, and abuse to children would have stopped as soon as possible. Reading the papers, listening to the news of how a young girl hasn't been seen in 3 weeks, probably abducted + worse, and how animals are being cooped up in cages, when they should at least have a decent area to roam in, I wish that world poverty was significantly less, and yep, that the world was generally a better place, rid of crime.

3) Bit of a long shot, but that really made me choke, that last one, but here I would hope another good thing to happen - that a definite cure for cancer would have been found and put into use. Nearly every week I read the press, some new treatment might be the cure of cancer, but the breakthrough hasn't happened yet - if it could, that'd make my life really - 1/4 people are likely to contract cancer, I will continue to give £15 a month, the most I can currently afford, to the cancer research charity. Hope it helps, hope it happens.

2) To have gotten my degree! A personal one here, but it will have taken 3 years, and if I get my degree I will be delighted. It would mean so much for me, I could have a career and be successful, hopefully, and it would be a great weight off my shoulders, and an incredible sense of achievement. I guess with many of this 10 Christmas wish list, the main person that can make them happen is me.

1) For at least 2 of the above things to happen - that'd be brilliant, preferably out of 2, 3, and 4 - that'd be good.

ARGH!! Christmas Shopping!!! Brilliant! Na ah!

As if! Christmas shopping can be fun, right from a very early age, buying presents for others is a fantastic thing to do, but seeing as we start buying from an early age, the pressures of Christmas shopping can also mount up and make the happy time in December not quite as relaxed as it could be, it may be July still, just, but here's 5 top tips (hopefully) that will keep you relaxed this Christmas when buying gifts:

1) Make sure your buying something that the recipient won't hate! There is almost nothing worse than taking products back just after Christmas - the queues are absolutely awful, and they may not have any replacement items, so my advice is for you to find out a few ideas for each person, and take it from there.

2) Start early! A bad idea is to leave everything until the last minute, but lots of people do, and as a result many items may be out of stock, so make sure you plan when you're going to buy the presents!! Starting now may not be such a bad idea, just make sure that they don't buy the present themselves before Christmas!!

3) Go shopping with friends - a much more relaxing and hassle free idea is to shop with some close friends rather than going on your own, although this may mean you don't get everything as you will obviously be slowed down - but friends can give advice, and can help carry all those bags too.

4) Defy convention! Why buy from the high street? Of course there are many places where you can buy presents - on the Internet would be a very good place to buy certain products like CDs and DVD - CD, but for clothes etc, then it's best not to do it online.

5) Don't panic!! Honestly, the worst thing you can do is panic buying, you'll end up buying products that really won't be appreciated, you'll spend too much and you won't feel great about it!!

Well, don't forget - have fun Christmas shopping, 150 days to go, possibly less now!

But think. Christmas is great, you can get wrapped up in it all, you may have to if it's particularly cold, but think - this forth coming Christmas, take a while to think of how lucky you are, that is if you are lucky - if you're with your family and friends and loved ones - some people have to spend this magical time of year all on their own, and it often makes me think that I want to do something to help them, many different ages of people spend Christmas alone.

So one year, when I was 17, I went with a few friends and helped out at a shelter, giving out dinners to the homeless - it was actually really rewarding doing that, I would definitely do it again. It's all voluntary, and it shows that you’re helping those who need it - in the real spirit of Christmas.

Sure, so the food we had to serve didn't look all that fantastic, but believe me - they appreciated it so much, I even made friends with a couple of people - they've managed to get back on their feet, are now working and it makes me so pleased that I might have helped in some small way.

I don't think anyone should stay on their own at Christmas - it's a time for sharing presents, company and time - if it helps those who need it by bringing them together and actually giving them a meal, then that's a good thing.

I normally spend Christmas at home, if I can, with my family and my friends, but I really like to do something different occasionally, I may go to Australia surfing one Christmas - sounds good huh?
Moving on…

Ah yes, what to leave out for Father Christmas - or in fact Santa Claus!!! Now, where do I start?

We all know that Santa does indeed exist, maybe not in the physical way that we were led to believe, but in spirit - he is a figure that represents good, giving out, sharing - it's all good, he's a great symbol, and I think it's a fantastic tradition, and one that should continue for a long while.

So...what should you leave out for him?

Here's 5 brief ideas that would be quite funny...

1) Your rubbish!! The dustbin collectors don't work over Christmas, so why not get good old Santa to clear away your trash? Hmmm, maybe not...

2) A goldfish - clearly their can't be any records of cruelty to goldfish, they wouldn't remember if anything happened to them, and so give Santa a goldfish, in a bowl, see what happens.

3) Gravity boots - I really want a pair of these, how great would it be to climb up a building - just by walking on the outside? Santa needs these! You know it makes sense...

4) A shaver...

5) A cow! See if it'd get along with the Reindeer...!!

Brilliant stuff

Thanks, I'm mad, you're sane, looking forward to Xmas again!!
