This has been bugging me for like all time.Why for the love of grace are Star Trek fans considered as greasy haired,double visioned,geeks who have some sort of condition which prevents them from talking to members of the oposite sex??!!
When i "came out" as a trekker(trekkie which ever you preffer)i recieved comments like "why do you like that its dead fake and its really sad!!" Which brings up another fact about people who dont watch Star Trek they only ever refer to the Classic Star Trek what do they expect from a show which is 35 years old! they only know about the next generation because its "the one with the bauld guy"
These people just dont seem to get that Star Trek, nowadays has good storylines,special effects and convinsing actors.
So next time you see or hear that someone like Star Trek leave them alone dont go saying its "sad" to like Star Trek
