Our latest computer, which happens to be a laptop, was bought last August. At the time it was the best thing to get, and even now, is still good compared to newer PC's.

It is very supportive of multimedia - its got a good powerful graphics card, a built in DVD player, and all the right, top quality software. However all this means nothing when it comes to playing games which need 3D accel. support. Games like B&W, although now almost every game requires this.

My laptop doesn't have a 3D Accel. Card, and therefore cannot play these great games - all that power gone to waste.

Is there anything I could try doing? I need a 3d accelerator card, but I dont think you can upgrade a laptop like this. Any idea would be most appreciative.

I think you probably can upgrade a laptop. Take it to a computer shop and ask them.

Not very helpful but the best option :-D

I think this is what I'm going to have to do. I'm trying to save up for a new PC at the moment, but they do cost alot, so saving up could take a long time.

When I do finally manage to get a PC though, this stupid laptop (which I'm using now) will kindly recieve a one-way trip out the window.
