Seems that Sony may be planning various versions of the PS3 with various extra features at different prices to suit what different people want.
High end version is likely to be similar to the PSX and also a similar price.
Then there will likely be a stripped down version just for simply playing games without any of the fancy extras that not everyone will see the benefit in having..
If this is true then I'd expect and online ready console with a hard disk to be one of the options.

Interesting... I wonder how they'd add up the sales. Would they just put all the categories together to become sales of PS3, or would each one have to be a seperate product? If the PS2 had its sales chopped to a third of its current total, it would almost be in danger of being caught by the competition!
