im so new to installing a OS i dont know how to do it, can you explain brief how i would do this or a site that tells you how to install linux over windows it would help me alot

Unless you are wanting to set up a cheap web server, Linux is not much use for a Windows user. I tried setting up a web server, and while it was fun to begin with, I really didn't care for the amount of time it took me to try and install software and set everything up. Maybe in the future when I have more time I will get back to a bit of Linux, but for now I have abandonned it.
All you needed to do was reinstall the boot sector of the HD; it would then boot Windows normally.
Well when I tried to install Linux I was trying to get it to dual boot with XP and it all went horribly wrong, resulting in Linux working but not XP resulting in a HD format. So you may not want to ask me for advice.
