Well, where are they?

I have noticed that hardly any games at all have been coming out. OK, so GT3 was released a week a go, but lately, there hasn't been many other good games to buy.

Let's have a deeper look at this. What has been released lately on the PS2: Red Faction, Onimusha, GT3 and ATV Offroad Fury are four must have games that I can think of that have been released in the last couple of monthes. That's FOUR, unless anyone else can think of anymore. There have been fairly average games poping up, such as Escape From Monkey Island and The Bouncer, but not many, noy many at all. Where have all of the games gone?
When I went down town to see what new games had arrived to our stores, I managed to find one lousey game, that new music generator game that I have forgotten the name of. I was a little disappointed. It's not that I am bored with the games that I own, far from it, but I like to see more and more good games arriving, giving more choice of what game to buy next.

I was thinking of buying a Gameboy Advance, but for the past couple of weeks, I haven't noticed many new games coming out. When I walk into shopw such as Dixons and V.Shop, I don't notice any new GBA games. I do still intend on buying one, but it has been out for a month, and the choice of games is still very similar to that of launch day.

There are several brilliant games heading our way in the future, but there is that word, FUTURE. Some may be closer than I think, but a lot are being released in the distant future. There are Playstation 2 games that I am waiting for such as the new ISS and MGS2, and I am also waiting for some new GBA games to appear on the shelves before I decide to but the GBA.
And the release of the other two 128-bit consoles isn't until next year, over here at least anyway. The games for both of these cosnoles look top quality, but this is where that word pops up again 'FUTURE'.

I might be the only one that feels like this at the moment as PS2 owners are mighty happy with GT3 at the moment, and I doubt GBA owners are disappointed either. I just like to see good games appearing on a regular basis. I know, developers can't rush games otherwise we get a games that aren't as good as they could have, I suppose I just like to see a good game every Friday. Is that too much to ask?

Just going back to the original topic for a sec...

The Dreamcast has 8 games coming out in August from Sega Europe, including OutRiggers, and that doesn't include all the other publishers that have games coming out (another 10 games last time I looked).

Dreamcast owners have got it very good up until around February 2002 when the final games will roll out of production, after which they'll only have a back catalogue of 300 or so to choose from.

Shame that.

It was IGN, started off on their message boards. What they didn't know at the time was that it is the voltage controller for the screen. Turning it increases (or decreases) the voltage going to the screen. More volts equals brighter screen, but one that is far more likely to blow. Also, as this was never intended to be touched by the untrained hand (thus hiding it rather than sticking it on the side of the console labled "contrast") it was rediculously easy to turn it way to far and blow the screen instantly.

In reply to Super Gohans last post:

It still applies as the battleground is the US. Sony will release some good games here although we may have to wait a little longer, perhaps November December in order to increase PS2 sales here at Christmas!

But I was talking about over here. The two new consoles won't be released over here until next year (as far as I know anyway).
