I've been looking at reviews on Socom II as i am considering buying it, but i want to know what it was like before i forked out for it.
I've already got Conflict Desert Storm II but i find that to difficult and wanted to know if its just as hard, If its worth getting, and what you think about it

I'm not sure to be honest as I haven't played any SOCOM games, but I have read that the first SOCOM is actually better than the second.
Is it just like Desert Storm?
I think it's very similar.
I like it. A must buy if your PS2 is online too.
As far as offline play its quite decent but wont last you too long as there is no offline multiplayer play, perhaps renting it a few times would be better than buying it.
Requires a bit of thought and tactics as well as being good at it to do well on the harder levels.
I'd recommend playing it.

Is it more of a tactical game, such as sorting out soldiers positioning, or is more of a shoot em' up style game?
You are the leader of the team of four. Using the headset or the command menu you issue orders such as getting them to open doors and deploy frags, etc.

It sounds fine to me and i shall go lock myself in a cupboard now and work out a decision on whether to pre-order GTA San Andreas or to buy Socom II.
