Basically, I'm a silly little weakling with little money.
I am trying to get to Punabi and some Suli..... place, but I can't beat half the enemies I meet - not because of missing them, but because I'm simply not strong enough etc.
Are there any items near Balmora/Seydaaaannneeeen that are very useful for begginners? Or simply tips?

If my memory serves me right there's a goodish weapon in the one of the lookout towers in Balmora. It might be on top of a cupboard. I think there are 3 or 4 lookout towers. I can't remember which one.

I can't really help you not having this. But there is a 500 post Morrowind thread if you can be bothered to go back enough, it might be able to help you out a bit.
