I'll do a proper review tomorrow (trying to cram in some gaming before I away to lady's place)

Ok, you remember in The Matrix when Neo and Trinity go to the gov building to rescue Morpheus?
When they walk into the lobby and proceed to shoot everything? Flipping about and stuff? The slow-mo that followed?

Well, Max Payne let's you do that yourself.
You control the bullet-time and it's the most incredible thing you will ever see.

A room with 4 baddies in?
No problem, run towards the door, hit slo-mo and you go leaping in, leather coat flying behind you as you unload duel berrettas at them, turn in mid-air to face backwards, still shooting, come out of bullet-time in a roll and voila!
All dead.

Being chased? Hit slo-mo, press backwards and Max flips in the air, faces the villain and flies backwards, guns blazing as he does so.

Absolutely stunning.
If you own a PC with the spec, get this game, I promise you will never, ever play anything like it for a long time.

Ok, I'm off to fly around the subway in slo-mo and shoot people.

This game rocks.

HURRAH FOR QUALITY GAMES.

Max Payne IS the future of gaming people

I know it will run ok but what will graphics quality be like? I would rather wait for the PS2 version and get good graphcis rather than buy the PC version and have poor graphics. Also you said with most settings at their maximum, which ones wouldn't? (yes, i know, but i'm really picky when it comes to games)
And how much does it cost to get it uprgradd to 256MB RAM?

Yes I have a PS2, and I enjoy it.
However, I honestly don't see how the hell they can put this onto that console.

I'm not bashing the PS2, I wouldn't have bought one if I didnt think they were worth it.

But Max Payne...

Having played it since Friday (on and off), I can honestly say that it is cool.

Pure and simple cool.

Armitage Shanks, I don't see the point you're trying to make byt asking the question of whether or not he has a PS2. It shouldn't affect his response to the idea of the PS2 version improving on the PC one.
Also, I noticed someone on the official Max Payne forum called GoatBoy. Is it the same one as in here?
Finally Darkreaper, the game should run fine on your computer, with most settings at their max. However, the loading times may be a bit lenghty with 128Mb of RAM.

Fortunatly I'm in excatly the same situation with Max Payne as I was with Deus EX...

In that I know a lot of people say its fantastic, and that its fun to play... thats pretty much it... everything else is going to be a novelty :)

You know on a PC game how you have minimum, recommended and the other one (sorry i can't remember!) how does it run on the lower specifications? The graphics will defiantly be effected but what about everything else? At the moment i've got:

AMD Athlon Processor 800mhz
128mb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX (sorry not good with cardy things!)

How do you think it will run on my computer? I'm not going to get it upgraded for a while so if i can't run it properly then i'll wait for the PS2 version.

Heed these wise words:

If your expectations for a game are too high - you will 90% of the time be disappointed.
If you always have low expectations - then 90% of the time you will be pleasantly surprised.

I had high expectations for Metropolis Street Racer - and when I got it I was a little disappointed cos it did'nt live up to what I was expecting. The opposite occured with recently with Nomad Soul.

... I know I'm talking b*ll*cks!
