I happen to agree with them. As much as I want to keep up with the latest technology, the fact that the console runs from the box is a great selling point over PC gaming.
But now we have onl;ine gaming coming to consoles. The DC included a modem, and apart from their server troubles it was good. PS2 is set to revolutionise this with their hard disc and broadband connection, but we are sceptical.
You have to buy it. You have to get a second unit at a cost and plug it in. Then theres a hard disc. prone to virus?
There are many issues surrounding this, but the main one will be:
Will we need it? Will the games people carry on making games that do not require the extras? Lets hope not, we arent all millionaires....
