PS2 Linux Kit may be released in USA

Gamehelper.com reports that the PlayStation 2 Linux kit, which was recently released and is only available in Japan, has "flown off of the shelves faster than Sony can produce them." Sony Computer Entertainment America have put up a web site where users can register their interest in a US release of the kit.
Although a US release wouldn't necessarily mean a world wide release, interested kiwis may wish to show their support by registering anyway.
The Japanese PS2 Linux kit includes a 40 GB hard drive, 10/100Mbps Ethernet interface, USB keyboard and mouse, and a VGA/AV monitor connector for the PS2. Also included is the PS2 Linux operating system software on DVD-ROM, including online documentation, PS2 Linux installation program, Linux Kernel version 2.2.1, XFree86 GUI version 3.3.6, gcc compiler version 2.95.2 and glibc libraries version 2.2.2.
The kit should give users access to the small but growing range of PC games available for the Linux operating system, including Tribes 2, Unreal Tournament, Rune, Alpha Centauri, Soldier of Fortune, Deus Ex, Railroad Tycoon II, Civilization: Call To Power and more -- as well as opening up the PlayStation 2 for use as an Internet access and productivity software platform, putting Sony in a good position to challenge Microsoft's Xbox. Wide availability could also encourage development of more games and consumer software for Linux.
Surely people will not buy it if it costs something like £500?
"EXCELLENT" muhahahaha
any ideas on an email address anyone?
