10 to 15 year olds!!!
How can you let a 10 year old drink, smoke or even take drugs? I know it must be hard to have complete control over your children but their parents must be aware of this. I know loads of people who smoke behind their parents back's because they would get into serious trouble if they where caught.
The report also said that 50% of 15y/o would have had a drink in a week. Although the report didn't say whether they where drinking beer/bitter of those alco pop things but that does seem a lot to me. Are future generations going to be drunken larger louts, smoking fags and cigars while they are blobbed out on the couch watching tv with an ounce of cocaine by their side.
I don't have kids, but how would you feel if you found out that your children were drinking, smoking or even taking drugs? It's a thought that scares me. Even with all of the publicity about the damages to health these cause people are still doing them and they are on the increase.
I did start to drink regularly when i was 16/17 and i have tried smoking once which i hated and i'll never do it again but i've never taken drugs. I know people who do take drugs regularly and smoke/drink regularly as well but these are 19 to 35 year olds. I know that's still youngish but it's not half as bad as 10 to 15y/o doing the same. And to add to this Britain has the highest rate of teenage pregnancies and teenage single mothers. How much more can Britain take?
I don't know it's properly the fact i'm an old geezer, am i the only person who thinks this is a bit too young or am i just turning into an old moaning git?
