Went and saw this tonight. Having seen the trailer, i figured it'd be the usual guns, assassins, blood, violence, guns and assassins with very little trace of a plot (specially as seen in the trailer).

However, the film pleasantly surprised me, not only was there an abundance of all things that make violence lovers happy, the plot is certainly deeper than i initially gave it credit for. Sure aspects are a littlle predictable, but there are several genuine surprises.

There is even witty dialogue and scripting :D Also, if you like Alicia Keys, she looks damn fiiiine in this film ;)

Though the ending can make you feel a little "oh, well, thats a little, hmm, bleh" (you'll see what i mean), its a good action film, won't win any oscars, but it damn will entertain you.

It's featured in the game Battlefield 2, and Rainbow Six 3 too (I think) ... it's the 50. Cal Sniper Rifle, in real life used as an anti-vehicle gun, which is why in the film it blasts huge chunks out of the building.

I know too much about guns, and I learnt it all from Computer Games and Films. Who says they're a bad influence?? :P

Here's the only picture (I could find) of the Remote Controlled Gatling Cannon from the film The Jackal. It's an excellent bit of kit :) .... http://www.tvnorge.no/bilder/03/56/75/45/4_5501_00833.JPGNone.medium.JPG

He uses it to shoot Jack Black's arm off from like, 500yards when he was "aiming for the melon"
And it has a rapid fire mode for when he wants to kill the First Lady. Its in the back of that truck he has.

Am i gonna have to find a pic for you? :P

Yes, yes you do. And it has one of the coolest sniper rifles you ever did see. Reminded me of The Jackal (the one with Bruce Willis, not the really classy old one)
